Unlocking the Potential of "Google My Business"

Unlocking the Potential of "Google My Business"

Google Maps first revolutionised the way that we navigate and quickly grew to become a reliable way of discovering businesses in a given local area. The ability to 'star' favourite places on Google Maps, rate businesses and create unique, customised maps was enhanced when 'My Maps' in the Google Maps toolbar was replaced with the 'My Places' function.

My Places allows users to quickly view and interact with saved maps, rated businesses and starred locations in Google Maps. Items are organised by date with the most recent activity appearing first: a range of powerful filters allows for simple searching and sorting. My Places also simplifies the ability to manage locations and any personalisations are synced across other Google properties.

Understanding how My Places works can offer extremely valuable insights into both how to better reach potential clients and how to ensure that they can better reach you. That's why the next Brick Technology workshop will focus entirely on this aspect of Google Maps, informing attendees in detail of how it can improve their online visibility, relationship with customers and ultimately their sales and revenue.

The My Places workshop is scheduled to take place at our HQ on Friday 13th September at 2:30pm. Though the workshop is free to attend, places are limited and so it is recommended to book yours by getting in touch with our team on 01257 444492. Don't forget that we have moved to our new offices: the address is B1 East Terrace, Euxton Lane, Chorley PR7 6TE.

Brick Technology design and deliver regular workshops on a variety of relevant topics. Check out our website for details of past workshops and subscribe to our newsletter for details of workshops planned for the future.
