E-Commerce Websites: The Brickweb Portfolio

For almost 30 years, Brickweb has been growing and evolving, becoming in the process a leading e-commerce development company with an unmatched reputation for excellence. Our client portfolio is as extensive as it is diverse, with hundreds of different businesses and organisations trusting our expert team to create and maintain their online presence.

For this edition of the Brickweb blog, we are showcasing two of our many clients and the hard work we have done on their behalf.

Designer Sofas 4U
Brickweb have created numerous custom websites for fabric and furniture stores, one of which is Designer Sofas 4U. This company entered the competitive field of online furniture retail back in 2007, quickly gaining a reputation for the high quality of both their products and their customer service credentials. As the company continued to grow, they approached Brickweb to design and build their custom e-commerce website, which has further driven their success and allowed them to become the UK's leading retailer of Chesterfield sofas.

As Designer Sofas 4U supplies an extremely large number of different products, it was a crucial part of the web design to ensure that these were properly categorised in an intuitive, user-friendly way. Within each product section are included powerful filter tools, allowing website visitors to refine their search by colour, style, size, material and more. Visitors can order fabric swatches quickly and easily when required and all of the company's products are displayed as high quality, photo-realistic images.

Woodlands Hospice
Brickweb offer a specialised service for hospices, providing custom websites that allow these establishments to easily manage events and help with the raising of much-needed funds. Woodlands Hospice, which provides end-of-life care to patients in Kirkby, South Sefton and North Liverpool, is just one of several hospices who have taken advantage of the knowledge, experience and expertise of the Brickweb team.

Woodlands Hospice has continued to grow since it was opened in 1996, with an additional outpatient unit being opened in 2005 and a new inpatient unit being opened in 2009. More recently, the hospice has introduced an additional service entitled 'The Integrated Mersey Palliative Care Team' (IMPaCT), which exists to improve the referral process for palliative care.

Hospice websites from Brickweb allow for donations to be made easily and quickly, for charitable lotteries to be managed and for events to be created and updated whenever necessary. A spokesperson for Woodlands Hospice said: "Really happy with the website, it’s really easy to use. We have had good feedback about the website. The system allows us to instantly update events and the lottery results."
